Reporting to the Manager, Lean/CI Manufacturing Operations, the Lean/CI Business Partner is responsible for Lean and Continuous Improvement in assigned plant. This includes operating models and mechanisms (metrics/performance). The Lean/CI Business Partner will tightly align with Manufacturing Operations leadership and co-own the plant's gross and net productivity targets. The position is accountable for advancing a culture of continuous improvement. However, initial focus will be plant centric, focused on improvement (i.e. direct/indirect labor productivity, variances, material shrinkage, uptime/OEE, yield/scrap, lead time, external warehouse spend, freight/transportation, insource/outsource etc.), and delivery of actual impact to ledger and improved financial performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing lean/continuous improvement strategy and roadmap to drive standardized processes in manufacturing efficiency and productivity.

- Identifying improvement opportunities and establishing quantifiable improvement targets in productivity, material consumption, other operation expenses, quality, safety, space utilization, and inventory reduction.
- Creating and implementing best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, and processes
- Develop and build relationships across the matrix organization. A successful change agent at Rockwell Automation will lead change by influence and collaboration rather than by authority and control.
- Coach and Mentor productivity leaders in adopting lean initiatives.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for safety, cost, quality, and responsiveness.
- Engage in digital initiatives, to help bringing business and technology together (Connected Enterprise) to deliver more value to the organization and our customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Expertise in problem solving and lean engineering.
- Advanced English level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading improvement projects in global manufacturing operations, including supply chain and multi-site manufacturing. The role requires an experienced Lean professional who can bring immediate value to the organization.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience and 2+ or 3+ years as people manager
- Experience in influential team leadership
- Lean Manufacturing certification
- Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred
- Experience with manufacturing industrial/technical products, with a strong preference for individuals with experience in manufacturing Engineer to order (ETO) & electromechanical products.
- A strong, demonstrated history of driving positive change by influencing, convincing and persuading others up the organization, laterally and below.
- The ability to be appropriately situational in transitioning from strategic/visionary thinking to tactical implementation.
