Lean Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities for this position include:
Leads the Value Stream in daily operations and continuous improvements which include but are not limited to supply chain production control, establishing manufacturing priorities, coordination of activities with off -shift management and order shipments.
Emphasizes the creation of continuous product flow, utilize pull systems where flow is not currently possible, and works to level the workload.

- Identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving productivity while coordinating the implementation of these improvements.
- Facilitate the planning and implementation of workplace flow/production lines balancing & layout, equipment installations, modifications, and moves according to Lean concepts.
- Stabilize the production processes.
- Will organize and measure the progress of improvement initiatives and ensure plant wide consistency, while adhering to company policies and safety standards
- Monitors and communicates labor, delivery and lead-time performance metrics for the operations team and management.
Works with the VS Team Leaders to maintain the Team Improvement Boards (TIB).
Both centers - the TIB and Site Tracking Center - are the minimum requirements in a visually controlled environment that ensures no problems remain hidden.
- Execute, track, and take accountability for continuous improvement savings and results.
- Ability to analyze data in SAP, Routines, Bill of Materials, High Complexity, High Demand, Inventories, Kanban.
About you
- Current knowledge of the latest manufacturing technology, productivity and quality measurements, and material/planning systems requiring continual review of methods to optimize productivity.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing toolbox and experience in Lean Systems implementation
- Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology (Kaizen, VSD, VSM, PDCA, LCIA, 5s, SMED, YAMAZUMI)
- Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.
- Knowledge of the product(s) and manufacturing operations that would typically be obtained through a bachelor's degree in a manufacturing related field, business or engineering, and progressive career experience.
An M.B.A., an advanced technical degree, or professional designation may be preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.

- Demonstrate high knowledge in the use of excel tools, AutoCAD, process or plant simulation, SAP.
