JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead complex six sigma projects and coordinate with leadership to identify and prioritize targeted areas of opportunity for eliminating waste and reducing variation.
- Facilitate value stream mapping, business process re-design, kaizen, continuous improvement, lean thinking, cycle time reduction, etc. to simplify and perfect targeted areas.
- Provide LSS training and leadership of kaizen events, across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain detailed records of all LSS projects.
- Managing/supervising LSS projects resulting in sustained performance.
- Identify early signs of low performance from the sites within the region and initiate recovery activities to prevent any customer complaints. Other engineering areas will be responsible for working on the root cause of the low performance issues
- Have the authority to initiate regional audits to confirm that basic lean six sigma systems, tools, and procedures are properly used by local lean six sigma teams
- Regional Project Leader and Coordinator that directs and critically evaluates large scale challenges in multiple work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as, but not limited to, complex process simulations, operational research and business model cost analysis, production costs, process flow charts, and end to end value stream analysis, to determine efficient utilization and effectiveness of workers and equipment
- Lead multiple cross-functional projects across his or her specific region with broad in-depth knowledge of various functions outside of lean six sigma to optimize complex large-scale projects
- Lead as Site Subject Matter Expert in all global & regional lean six sigma systems and principles
- Lead as Site Subject Matter Expert in all lean six sigma practices
- Communicate to regional team key lean six sigma metrics for Site
- Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the lean six sigma team & other functional engineering teams as needed
- Coach, mentor, and train new Site lean six sigma SME's as support to Regional and Global lean six sigma
- Develop regional lean six sigma best practices with supporting data to Regional and Global lean six sigma teams to optimize existing best practices
- Seek outside best practices and education to bring knowledge into regional and global lean six sigma platforms

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Lean Six Sigma Director.
- Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Lean Master and Master Black Belt certified by recognized organizations in the industry
- Project and facilitation experience in a heavily matrixed environment
- Or equivalent combination of education, training & experience
- Subject matter expert in lean six sigma and operations
- Detail oriented with a strong organizational approach to work and in managing data
- Experienced in change management, project management and financial management
- Qualified & experienced trainer
- Excellent Leadership and communication skills
- Track record showing continual improvement of personal skills
- Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to operations
- Results-driven change agent
- Ability to influence all levels of the Jabil organization
- Be expert in lean tools and processes to coordinate and share knowledge on a divisional scale

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's in IE, Ops Research or related field preferred
- Master's degree (MBA, project management, etc.)
- At least 15 years of working experience with 7 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma area or related field
- Master Black Belt certified by recognized organizations in industry (e.g. ASQ, SME, Shingo Prize)
- Lean master certified
- Project and facilitation experience in heavily matrixed environment
- Change Management experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
