**Roles and Responsibilities**- Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel.- Promote technical excellence within own section and support groups through design / technical review participation, lessons- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market- Uses Engineering thinking/judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.- Uses data analysis to support recommendations.
Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.- Review if new requests (projects) are aligned to program priorities and available resources, negotiate and, if required, push back the request.- Lay out coaching plan for entire team.- Guide, review and approve detailed project schedules for project within the team.- Provide Direction to the team to meet the needs for the correct project execution and meeting project schedule.- Own the OTD of the project, Milestones & deliveries.- Own the quality of Technical and Business reviews of the assigned team.- Partnership with CEO for critical & high complexity projects.- Partnership with Systems/Module leader on defining project priorities,- Partnership with CTHs and staff engineers to complete Risk assessment for challenging schedules.
**Required Qualifications**- Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or similar.- Experience in a leadership role within an engineering environment.- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
