Job Description
**Key Responsibilities**:
Leads the negotiating and drafting of contractual documents such as sales agreements, license agreements, construction contracts, non-disclosure agreements, subcontract agreements and other complex commercial agreements.
Identifies and reviews business, legal, and contractual risks, and advises organization on acceptable contractual language and strategy to mitigate the risks, and develops and executes on negotiation plan.
Engages with business units, legal and other functions to obtain approval for non-standard contractual positions in accordance with corporate and business unit policies.
Collaborates with legal and other functions to draft and maintain contract templates.
Provides contractual guidance to the sales organization, business units, and functions to ensure contracts satisfy corporate processes, requirements, organizational goals and customer needs.
Serves as a trusted advisor to the business units on contractual rights and remedies.
Participates in risk assessments on sale proposals to execute a negotiation plan in collaboration with the business unit to mitigate risks.
Exercises discretionary judgment in selecting appropriate method based upon established policies and procedures to resolve commercial and contractual issues to conclude negotiations.
Develops training materials and training plan to deliver training to meet contractual needs of the business and sales.
Serves as Subject Matter Expert to Contracts & Negotiations team by providing advice and training.
Develops networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
Actively pursues personal continuous learning, development of skills and knowledge within field
Participates in departmental process improvement and project activities.
Actively participates in global calls and meetings via phone or occasionally in-person.
Some travel may be required and conference calls outside normal working hours.
**Basic Qualifications**:
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
Law Degree preferred but not mandatory
Located at a Rockwell Automation facility in Mexico City (Santa Fe) required (occasional business travel within United States of America).

Excellent English speaking, comprehension, and writing skills required.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in contracts and negotiations or a related field.
Ideally experience in contracts and Negotiation for technology companies for North America or Latam
Demonstrates an understanding of contract law, contract negotiations, and procedures related to contract management; and project management principles.
A firm understanding of industrial automation products, services, and manufacturing solutions.
Strong Interpersonal skills to effectively build and manage relationships.
Excellent time management skills managing multiple and/or complex projects.
Flexible and adaptable in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment.
Attention to detail and creative results-oriented individual with a focus on value-added service.
Strategic business focus as well a strong code of ethics.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excels at negotiating while exhibiting confidence on voice calls and written communications.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
