The Legal Director will sit on the cluster's leadership team based in Mexico City and work collaboratively to ensure Legal's full contribution to achievement of business objectives.**What You Will be Doing**- Stay abreast of all laws and regulations impacting operations across the cluster by, among other things, liaising with external legal counsel, Legal colleagues in other markets, the Region and HQ, as well as other functions.- Ensure full contribution of LRA to the achievement of A&SP financial and business objectives by developing and driving local Legal strategy in alignment with Company-wide strategy and Regional/market commercial objectives.- Proactive identification of legal and reputational risks and collaboration with relevant partners to develop and implement mitigation measures.- Bringing value and speed to commercial decision-making with comprehensive strategies to lead legal and regulatory challenges, and facilitate timely product launches.- Ensuring accurate internal and external resources are in place to support key commercial initiatives.- Closely collaborating with CA&C, SRA and the Region on strategies for more effective engagement with regulators and management of regulatory challenges.- Negotiating and draft various types of agreements; and Providing advice and counsel on a broad range of legal issues.- Maintain financial accountability and budgetary responsibilities for the local Legal function, ensuring close management, visibility, and effective allocation/use of legal budgets.- Work with outside counsel in the prosecution and defense of commercial disputes, enforcement actions, and other claims.- Support Compliance to help strengthen corporate governance, conduct investigations as requested, conduct trainings and foster a compliance mindset among the local teams
