Licensed Small Animal Veterinarian

**Veterinarian Position**

Clínica Patas Felices is a new clinic located in Tijuana, BC, opening its doors in the Winter of this year. To start, it will cater to an existing American customer base and will specialize in thorough dental care for dogs and cats, simple consultations, and simple surgical procedures. The clinic will expand its services steadily to include more complicated surgeries and procedures, and to build a local customer base in Tijuana.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- Degree in Veterinary Medicine
- Veterinary physician's license
- General veterinary knowledge and practice experience
- 2 years experience with dental procedures: cleaning, extractions, surgical extractions, imaging, mouth/gum tumors, abscesses, etc.
- Soft tissue surgery
- Diagnosis and prognosis
- Pharmacology
- Use of imaging equipment and diagnostic tools
- Use of inhaled and injected anesthesia
- 2 years of general clinical experience

**Skills**:

- Dental cleaning for dogs and cats
- Surgical dental extractions for dogs and cats
- Tumor removals and soft tissue surgery
- Use of anesthesia, inhaled and injected
- English speaking preferred

**Responsibilities**:

- Working under supervising veterinarian
- Teeth cleanings and extractions
- Tumor removals
- Assisting with surgeries
- Taking clinical notes
- Prescribing medication
- Helping to manage inventory

**Salary and Schedule**:

- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am - 6pm, 1 hour break
- Competitive pay ($8,000 - $10,000 MXN per week depending on expertise and schedule)
- The position is anticipated to begin in December of this year.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $40,000.00 per month
