Under general direction and in conformance with compliance policies, procedures and objectives, the role is focused on documentation tasks for shipments and service providers, daily operational reports, and general cargo status (mainly Overseas shipments).
Plans and develops necessary procedures and directs the activities for which responsible.
Establishes and maintains ongoing relationship with internal customers and PYCO staff.
Provides analysis, counsel, advice, and recommendations where appropriate to assist plants in achieving goals and objectives.
As a member of the traffic team, you will supervise, manage, and carry out import and export operations in full compliance with the law and authorities.
The position requires a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of requests, quickly mediate between competing priorities, and work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and business management both within and across reporting relationships, business units and geographic regions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Management
- Resolves problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action in conjunction with the traffic team.
- End to end logistics up to MX Port + customs clearance process for Overseas CAM Exports.
- End to end logistics up to Ciudad Hidalgo + customs clearance process.
- Ciudad Hidalgo Warehouse Operation.
- End to end logistics from pickup at origin up to final destination in MX + customs clearance for all Overseas Imports.
- Customs clearance process for poly pellets.
- Audits and encourages process from customs brokers.
- Coordinate with internal customers to reduce the risk/impact of logistic changes in the current global market, such as rolled ships, change of freight forwarder, customer projects and demand swings.
- Responsible to communicate any change and other adjustments that might directly affect a customer, in writing, to the appropriate audience and follow through.
- Request insight and feedback on demand and forecast trends to the Demand Planning and Sales teams.
- Analyzes shipments, monitors correct loading, and adjusts errors in company systems.
- Audit import/export invoices, verify that the information is complete, that the harmonized codes are adequate for the products.
- Assigned to projects that require critical thinking and a good understanding of overall Clarios Operations.
- Analyzes customer orders and sales forecasts to prepare shipment plan.
- Uses knowledge of products, product availability, sales territories, and individual customers to assure highest level of product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Plans and directs the activities for which responsible such as shipping paperwork, loading scheduling with plants and freight forwarders.
- Responsible for expense reports.
Maintains contact with traffic team members to insure uninterrupted flow of information.
Review and resolves invoice discrepancies.
- Directs Logistic activities and insures adherence to governmental, environmental and safety regulations.
- Follow up the import/export customs clearance.
Communicate the shipping information with customers to ensure the goods arrive on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Strategy Development
- Compile key performance indicators, identifies opportunities to develop and implement sustainable improvement actions, and reports out on performance to the International Traffic Manager.
- Provide support to management team by reporting daily indicators and orders shipped.
- Recommend, support, and implement continuous process improvements.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to maintain current knowledge within the field to meet required compliance and regulatory job requirements.
- Be familiar with department performance goals and strive to meet or exceed goals.
- Key contributor to the Operations Control Tower and influencer to leadership.
- Drive process, service, and cost savings improvements.
- Build expert and dynamic knowledge of company products and services.
Team Management
- Work with transportation team and internal/external customers on inbound/outbound shipments.
- Point of contact for PYCO, customer service and sales team regarding overall order status, booking status and logistic costs.
- Attend meetings with the financial team to review status of customs broker accounts.
- Support other teams by directing the appropriate plants on how to meet customer expectations on time and in scope.
- Close communication with other departments (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering & Operations) for orders shipment.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in import/export operations, compliance, supply chain or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
