#WelcomeToCognizant!Job SummaryWe are seeking a Technical Lead with 4 to 6 years of experience in Linux Admin (RHEL/SLES/OEL), Shell scripting, and IBM AIX Admin.
The ideal candidate will have domain experience in Payer and will work in a hybrid model during the day shift.
This role does not require travel.ResponsibilitiesLead the administration and maintenance of Linux systems including RHEL, SLES, and OEL to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Oversee the implementation and management of IBM AIX systems to support business operations.Provide expertise in Shell scripting to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutions for the Payer domain.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum availability.Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and processes.Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.Conduct regular system audits and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve system performance.Coordinate with vendors and external partners to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions.Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for system administration and management.QualificationsMust have strong experience in Linux Admin (RHEL/SLES/OEL) to manage and optimize system performance.Must have expertise in Shell scripting to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency.Must have experience in IBM AIX Admin to support and maintain AIX systems.Must have domain experience in Payer to understand and address industry-specific requirements.Nice to have experience in hybrid work models to effectively manage both remote and on-site tasks.Nice to have strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve system issues.Nice to have excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Nice to have experience in documenting system configurations and procedures for future reference.Nice to have the ability to mentor and guide junior team members to build a strong team.Nice to have knowledge of security policies and procedures to ensure system integrity
