General job description: Under limited supervision performs the following activities: Responsible for the movement of packages and documentation within FedEx facilities and/or customs/forwarders. Maintains customs documentation well organized and properly filed. Distributes relevant customs paperwork to appropriate FedEx departments, customs raters, and forwarders as required. Receives customs releases and maintains adequate control as specified by customs regulations; scans all outgoing A.M.releases, ensuring proper packages are going out and improperly scanned and stickered packages (unreleased from customs) are not sent; and prepares in-bond transfers. Performs sorting, baggage support at airport and station, and retrieves air freight from carriers as required. Pulls copy of AWBS of overages to ensure adjustments. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Minimum education: High School degree/Equivalent Good English Skills Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of previous experience in international freight/cargo customs policies, procedures, rules, and laws preferred. Knowledge of airport and customs clearance procedures preferred. Forklift handling experience. CRT experience preferred. Minimum Required skills: Ability to lift 70 lbs. (32 kgs) and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68 kgs) with appropriate equipment. Verifiable ability to capture data in different systems such as Office - Advanced Excel - and WMS / JDA / eGLS (25/35 WPM), data entry and / or general office skills
