**Job Description Summary**: GEIQ is an engineering center located in Querétaro, MX. We specialize in gas turbines for the aviation and energy business serving as a part of GE to those two infrastructure units. The performance group has been around since the year 2000 acquiring a level of performance expertise for the Gas Turbine industry that has no match in México.The performance engineer is responsible to address issues regarding the thermodynamic response of an aircraft engine or aero derivative gas turbine.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Performs parametric studies regarding the interaction of the different component of the engine.- Is capable of understanding the effect of different ambient conditions and perturbations; of efficiencies and flows, on the overall performance of the engine.- Looks for physical effects that cause significant changes in the performance of an aircraft engine.- Is capable of presenting his investigations and results in forums with highly specialized professionals with clarity and technically sound arguments.- Makes use of statistical tools to provide answers.- Looks for creative solutions and constantly finds ways to improve on the quality and response time of his work.**Required Qualifications**- Aeronautical/Mechanical/Energy engineering Bachelors degree plus 2 years experience or MSc degree plus 0-1 year of experience.- Fluent in English language (written and spoken).- Good background on Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics & Statistics.- Problem Solving Skills (Physical phenomena understanding).- Computer Skills (Ms Office and one programming language, preferable C++ and Python).- Skilled in Basic Statistics.**Desired Characteristics**- Master or PhD in related field.- Previous experience in Gas Turbines.- Green Belt Certified.- Skilled in Python and C++.**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
