.This position will day to day interact with local air carriers and different vendor partners through effective communication and leadership to guarantee the highest service performance and alignment with the agreed cost and service parameters. The AFC will take the responsibility of assisting with ad-hoc duties requested by the Transport Networks Development department, as well as clerical activities, including administration of documents and reports, while keeping them up to date and accurate. The AFC will support day to day GAF activities, ensuring customer needs are aligned with services purchased, while continuing to exceed customer service expectations through constructive and professional relationships with carriers and agents that allow the GAF network to perform as designed while also bringing opportunities for improvement and expansion.Key skills and qualifications:5 years minimum of experience interacting with Airlines in Imports and Exports operations at warehouse and airport ramps operations.Strong leadership and customer service skills are essential for this role.Excellent English/Spanish and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database analysis.The ability to work under pressure, multi-task, problem solve, organize, and prioritize workload in order to meet numerous deadlines is essential for this role.Strong analytical skills and familiarity with airfreight, trucking, and airport operator (warehouse handling) rates.Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers, vendors, customers, Operational Supervisors, and Management.Responsibilities:Daily interaction with assigned FedEx ramps, air carriers, trucking companies, airport handling agents, customs brokers, and selective customers.Daily monitoring and coordination with business partners. Identify and work on service failures with vendors for continuous service improvement on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, etc.).Measure airlines/vendor/carriers service performance.Proactively engage in all issues that will impact service and follow through to completion.Execution and coordination of tactical and contingency plans to minimize supply chain disruption.Maintain service at the highest performance across the GAF network through capacity management.Oversee and monitor the booking process between FedEx and airlines/carriers/vendors.Coordinate routing and capacity distribution with FedEx ramps.Prepare export documentation in accordance with country requirements, including Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, Airway Bill, and any other documents required for export.Communicate and interact daily with airlines, vendors, trucking companies, customers, warehouse contacts, sales representatives, and overseas offices as necessary.Provide assistance to the invoice reconciliation department as needed
