Involves merchandise classification according to customs government regulations (RGCE Anex 22), restrictions and import/export duty rates.
Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties requiring direct and indirect customer interface.General Job Description:Under general supervision perform the following activities:Classifies merchandise according to PCS change customs government regulations, restrictions and import/export duty rates.Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties requiring direct and indirect customer interaction.Classifies merchandise according to customs government duty rates.Fills entry forms depending on the commodity.Interfaces with customers on customs-related issues.Types or otherwise prepares various operations reports.Maintains and audits all records and files as assigned.Provides administrative and clerical support to the Manager.May be required to perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Minimum Education:Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent.Minimum Experience:Previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment.Eighteen (18) months experience in customs clearance broker activities.Minimum Required Skills:Knowledge of import and export duty rates.Average general office skills required including light typing, filing, and computer literacy.Good communication and human relations skills.Ability to lift 75 lbs and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.Clean cut and neat appearance.Fluent in English preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
