**JOB PURPOSE**

**WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE**
**WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED**
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods
- Work closely with internal teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and ensure efficient use of warehouse space
- Enable the customs clearance of the import of raw and packaging material into Mexico and export of finished goods to the US
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents. Maintain compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws
- Assist with the establishing of Importer of Record credentials for new production facility
- Manage operational relationship with Customs Brokers
- Coordinate with planning on compliance requirements for new product innovations
- Issue advance notice on regulatory changes that could impact material or product flow
- Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs, optimize shipping routes, and negotiate favorable freight rates with carriers and logistics providers
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain performance
- Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, such as implementing contingency plans and diversifying transportation routes
- Serve as a Key-Liaison between Cross Functional team such as: Manufacturing, Customer Service, Transportation and Planning
**EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, International Business, Commerce, Business Administration, or related fields
- 5 or more years combined experience in International Logistics with a focus in import/export operations in Mexico
- Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, or equivalent certifications is preferred
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and international shipping processes
- Clear demonstration of leadership, team commitment, influencing and holding others accountable
- Proficiency in logistics software and system, such as ERP, TMS, WMS and other related
