What you will do:The Logistics Coordinatior is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shipping department. He or she oversees the activities of the shipping clerks and makes sure that all orders are processed and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.How you will do it:Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shipping area organized, and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Verify that orders are complete and meet customer specifications before release.Investigate and resolve discrepancies on invoices and packing slips.Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with customers, sales, and production departments.Schedule and assign employees to specific tasks.Train new employees on company policies and proceduresMonitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.Handle customer complaints and escalate to management as necessary.Prepare and submit reports on daily activities and metrics.Stay up to date on changes in transportation laws and regulationsManage inventory of shipping supplies and place orders when necessaryNegotiate rates with shipping vendors and select the most cost-effective option.What we look for:RequiredBachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field3-5 years' experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse management.Fluent in EnglishSAP knowledge (required)Proven leadership and supervisory skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and time-management skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applicationsFamiliarity with shipping software programs, including UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL, etc.Preferred:Manufacturing experience (HVAC a plus)Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.Superior computer skills in MS Office applicationsStrong desire of learning, benchmarking.#J-18808-Ljbffr
