Responsibilities Designs, analyzes and implements supply chain systems employed in the distribution of direct material and finished goods. Create, present and implement the logistics concept (from supplier, in house and to customer in cooperation with Central Supply Chain Engineering Team (LOZ) under consideration of available Logistics Budget for Invest & Cost. And change in case the circumstances changes). Analyze and update the entire in-house material flow and line feeding concept (e.g. KANBAN cycles, tugger train setups, route optimization, AGV setup). Analyzes and improves manufacturing & warehouse layouts to optimize material flow, storage, retrieval, and distribution. Identifies annual cost savings opportunities. Give input for engineering changes and change management in case there is a change with impact on Logistics Invest & Costs. Supports continuous improvement of operational and financial logistics performance. Designs, develops, validates, and implements methods and tools that improve operational flexibility and execution of lean production systems using appropriate lean logistics concepts. Modifies and improves existing logistics systems such as material flow, storage, and information flow. Supports Logistics teams in the development and implementation of methods for material ordering, communication, transportation, packaging, and distribution throughout the supply chain. Develops and implements solutions that focus on reducing lead time throughout the value stream and extended supply chain. Collaborates with Lean Facilitator and other managers to identify improvement opportunities for workshops and actively participates in workshops. Teaches and drives the utilization of lean logistics tools such as Plan for Every Part, Kanban, Supermarkets, Milkruns, SAP Templates, etc. Collaborates with other Logistic professionals across all TKBA locations to optimize best-in-class shipping, receiving, and warehousing processes. Acts as liaison with all other worldwide Bilstein facilities. Responsible for all PEP-related LOW-points and need to give input to other departments if necessary. Work closely together with other core team functions on layout topics for a new customer project. Minimum Requirements 4 years of experience in logistic process design and improvement. Advanced English. Knowledge of material flows. Time, cost and resource optimization. Optimization projects. Packaging engineering. SAP management (MM and WM module).
