Role Definition
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operational Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, managing logistics operations, and driving continuous improvement.
What You Will Do: Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of supervisors and union employees to ensure efficient operations. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.Logistics Operations: Oversee and optimize all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational performance.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and control systems to ensure optimal stock levels. Collaborate with purchasing and planning teams to optimize inventory levels.Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and training programs.Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Analyze operational issues and develop effective solutions. Make timely decisions to address challenges and opportunities.Degree Requirement: University degree (bachelor's degree in administration or industrial, mechanical or other related engineering).
