**Role Definition****What You Will Do**:- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of supervisors and union employees to ensure efficient operations.Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.- Logistics Operations: Oversee and optimize all aspects of distribution center operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management.Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational performance.Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and control systems to ensure optimal stock levels.Implement strategies to minimize inventory discrepancies and losses.Collaborate with purchasing and planning teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.Conduct regular safety inspections and training programs.Promote a culture of safety and accident prevention.Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Analyze operational issues and develop effective solutions.
