POSITION SUMMARYThe Logistics Representative is responsible for managing customer's supply chain information and data within C.H.
Robinson's Transportation Management System.
They act as an extension of the customer's staff to ensure that all information flows properly and efficiently to ensure all transportation arrangements are made.The Logistics Representative is accountable for independently managing their own area of responsibility, fostering, and maintaining a relationship with their assigned customer(s), and utilizing the CHR project-based delivery model to improve any internal or external processes.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:Ensure Transportation arrangements are made for shipments by the following:Monitoring customer load board and information flow in the Transportation Management SystemMaintaining any team mailboxesPerforming relationship and knowledge-based exception management to any pre-defined processesDocument and organize existing standard operating processesLearn multiple job functions within assigned teamFacilitate customer calls and updates, identify when an outgoing call is needed to offer proactive answersMeet operational metricsConduct CHR systems trainings to external CHR customer representativesManage reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reportsMake fact-based suggestions on how customers can achieve their goals in utilizing CHR by understanding CHR's value propositionAct as a resource and support for peers when neededUnderstand and utilize CHR's project-based delivery model to find process improvements and cost savings within area of responsibility and/or teamOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsQUALIFICATIONSRequired:High School Diploma and/or GEDMinimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or LogisticsMinimum 1 year of prior experience working with and troubleshooting information systemsAbility to work flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requestedAbility to travel up to 5% (domestic and/or international)Site Specific: Fluent in English and the primary language of the applicable regionPreferred:Bachelor's degree from accredited college or universityExcellent customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsAbility to present to a variety of audiencesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to think critically, analyze data and solve problems quickly and accuratelyAbility to work in a team oriented and fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize and handle a variety of tasksContinuous improvement mindsetAbility to adapt to an ambiguous and changing environmentAbility to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organizationValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentCH Robinson is an equal opportunity employer.
