This team member will work 5 days a week: Thursday through Monday during a regular day shift.
This logistics specialist in our Monterrey Center of Excellence maximizes the use of our transportation management system to provide excellent service to our clients in the US.
**What you'll do**
- Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the lifecycle of an order
- Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers
- Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation
- Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes
- Monitor and resolve shipment data errors
- Proactive analysis to prevent service failures
- Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy
- Professional and timely communications
- Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
- Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials
- Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow
**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree complete and at least one year of customer or carrier-facing work experience - OR - bachelor's degree started and at least 2 years of customer or carrier-facing work experience - OR - 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics work
- Excellent English skills, verbal and written
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in transportation management or logistics
- Basic understanding of BI and Tableau reporting
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
