The Weaving Operator supports multiple aspects of our composite manufacturing operation including winding, creeling, loom draw and weaving loom operation. Participate in projects developing process improvement methods, solutions required to enhance program quality, cost and scheduling. Perform other duties as assigned and may be required to cross train to additional work centers and skill setsJob Responsibilities:Wind spools Creel and draw weaving looms Operate weaving looms Maintain defect logs Measure and record critical dimensions using a calibrated rule and/or Vernier calipers Inspect and document parts for compliance against work instructions Package parts for final shipmentWhat we need from you:High school diploma or equivalent GED Ability to read, write and follow written work instructions Strong attention to detail Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort level with tools and mechanical troubleshooting Strong math skills; A basic math skill testwill be given to candidates Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for a full shiftPreferred:Prior experience working with high end fibers including carbon, glass and ceramicPrior experience in setting up, running and troubleshooting weaving looms and windersWhat you'll get from us:Medical / Dental / Vision effective on day of hire401k Company MatchTuition Reimbursement$1000 Sign-On Bonus#J-18808-Ljbffr
