For more information, visit cimmyt.org CIMMYT is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, energetic, and customer service-oriented professional for the position of Grant Management Analyst to work on the Donor Relations and Fundraising Unit of CIMMYT.
Specific Duties: Coordinate grant management steps along the project cycle in collaboration with involved units and internal and external clients (e.g. Programs, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources). Ensure grant information and records, documentation, and archiving are handled adequately and in a timely manner. Contribute to improvements in the functioning of the department. Foster relationships with all units and internal clients (e.g. Programs, Finance, Legal, and Human Resources). Ensure external and internal audits are conducted properly. Perform other related tasks within the job level as may be requested by the immediate supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: The selected candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Relations, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or Project Management. The candidate must have a C1 level of English (English will be tested). A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or Project Management is considered a strong asset. Additional Certifications or Courses: Specific certifications in project management or grant administration demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning in the field. Desirable work experience: 3+ years of experience in grant administration. Other Skills: Grant Management Knowledge: Practical experience or knowledge in managing grants, including proposal writing, budget management, compliance with regulations, and reporting. Software and Tool Competency: Proficiency in project management software, financial analysis tools, and office software, especially Excel or similar tools. Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal for crafting proposals, reports, and maintaining clear and effective communication with all involved parties in the grant management process. Advanced level of English. English will be tested, and candidates should score a minimum of C1 on CEFR. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve objectives. Other Attitudes: Organization and Attention to Detail: Maintaining accurate records and being detail-oriented is crucial. Deadline Orientation: Ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines for requirements. Proactivity and Autonomy: Ability to take initiative and work independently when necessary. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
