Infosys is seeking a Lead Mainframe Developer who has worked on Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL). This position will primarily be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders; applying technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design; playing an important role in creating high-level design artifacts; delivering high-qualitycode deliverables for a module, leading validation for all types of testing, and supporting activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience working in Mainframe, Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM.
- Experience working in DB2 (Stored procedures, Native SP, SQL).Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Mainframe Technologies is preferred.
- Experience in COBOL, CICS, and DB2 is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in Cobol DB2 and CICS Application programming.
- At least 2 years of experience in VSAM and JCL.
- At least 4 years of experience in the software development life cycle (waterfall and agile).
- Strong Analytical & design skills.
- Ability to lead the activities related to requirements elicitation, creation and review of design, provide pseudo code to the team, assign and review tasks, mentor individuals.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
- Ability to work in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.Insurance background is mandatory and healthcare insurance experience would be an added advantage.The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
