- The engineer: planning and undertaking schedule maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, supervising engineer, and technical staff, obtaining specialist components, managing budgets and maintaining statical and financial records.Provides support to all departments by ensuring the basics services for their manufacturing operations on daily basis.
This position is in continuous relation with engineers, operators, and contractors.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
- Diagnose breakdown problems.
- Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
- Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
- Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
- Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
- Monitor and control maintenance costs.
- Deal whit emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
- Improve health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work whit specialist equipment.
- Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning.
- Teamworking skill.
- Ability to use common tools.
- Able to read and interpret diagrams and schematics.
- Electrical and Electronic basic knowledge.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Precision measuring and testing instruments knowledge.
- Lock out/ Tag out safeguarding knowledge.
- Electrical safety knowledge.
- CAD software knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
- Ability to change shifts and work extended hours.
- Forklift driving and maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
- Require basic analytical skills.
- Basic skills of MS office.
- Ability to create and manage reports and logs.CMMS (Computerized maintenance management software) knowledge is a plus.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- **Minimum**:
Graduates will need a degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as, mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
- **Preferred**:
Al least 2 years' experience on maintenance, test or facilities support departments in manufacturing industry.
