With sales of USD 1.5 billion in FY 2021, Landis+Gyr employs around 6,500 talented people across five continents.As a core member of the Technical Function team, the Maintenance Manager is a proven leader to oversee the Maintenance department in our location in Reynosa, Mexico (US$ 400 million revenue).The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company's facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum efficient operations of our machinery and equipment as well as monitoring the safety of our equipment. The duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic/automation equipment.This position reports to the Technical Function Manager in Reynosa, Mexico.Core area of responsibility:Plant, direct, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities so that the organization's machinery and equipment operate reliably.Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities to rectify breakdowns and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions.Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures.Monitor the cost-effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with contractors to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.Liaise with managers throughout the company to coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with their operations.Prepare work orders and monitor the progress of work against estimates.Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff so repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time.Work according to the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301.Core technical skills:Strong knowledge and technical understanding of machines and equipment.Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical and mechanical systems.Experience in planning maintenance operations.Knowledge about fire suppression systems as well as air conditioning
