.Responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance including safe, efficient, and effective upkeep of all plant assets through management of the Maintenance Department and development and management of Maintenance expense budgets and capital project and supervising the staff of hourly maintenance technicians. In addition the incumbent is responsible for providing maintenance and engineering support to Project, Process, and Production Engineering.**Main challenge**:- _Manages day to day maintenance department activities and Facilities Engineer, Maintenance Parts Coordinator, Team Lead and Technicians and contractors.- _Coordinates the engineering and installation phases of capital projects from full scale, high value projects to small scale low value projects covered under the site's capital budget.- _Responsible for the coordination of conception, design, and justification necessary for the approval phase of all capital projects.- _Responsible for maintenance capital budgeting and expense budgeting for the site and individual projects.- _Responsible for the productivity, morale, motivation, safety and technical development of the maintenance group.- _Responsible for providing maintenance engineering input to other technical groups.- _Applies maintenance engineering knowledge in the analysis of equipment problems and the development of practical solutions.- _Conducts management of technicians' qualifications through maintenance technician progression.- _Responsible for maintaining the maintenance parts store to insure critical pieces of equipment are monitored, ordered and available.- _Performs other related duties as required.**Manager Responsibilities**:- Manage, guide and motivate your team to achieve stated business goals and objectives.- Conduct performance evaluations to maximize your team's effectiveness (SMART goals, good communication, reviews, training and development).- Participate with HR in other processes related to your team such as selection, promotion or compensation.**Required Qualifications and Knowledge**:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) with a minimum of 15 years maintenance experience in an industrial environment with at least 5 years as Manager for nonexempt/hourly employees- Fluent in English is a must- Demonstrated success in day-to-day management of a team dedicated to meeting internal customer needs.- Demonstrated computer and computer software skills, SAP preferred.- Physical requirements include working in a chemical plant environment—must be able to climb, work at heights, in confined spaces.- Strong initiative and self-directed work habits; Ability to manage multiple priorities.- Demonstrates accountability and a commitment to delivering results.**Location**Mexico - Villagran- It is the policy of Ferro to promote equal opportunity and access in all matters affecting employment with the Company
