As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment using standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include providing assistance in various areas of our manufacturing process as directed. Strive to meet plant goals and customer requirements. Safety is the top priority of every employee.What you will be doing:Fabricate basic machine parts and rebuild rotating equipment, including pumps, gear boxes, etc.Basic knowledge of electrical systems. Work with electrical systems and check fuses, circuit breakers, overloads, etc. Able to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.Install starters and disconnects and make conduit runs and pull wires.Troubleshoot machines.Work with the changing needs of maintenance and machine shop operations on a day-to-day basis and prioritize work.Welding experience desired but not required.We'd love to hear from you if:You have 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.You have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment; corrugated and/or converting experience preferred.Military training and/or Technical School required; associate degree and/orcertificates preferred.You can handle the physical job requirements (heat, noise, shift work, work indoors or outdoors) and have the mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn your job quickly.You must be able to work well with others while also being able to work independently with limited supervision.
