We are a dynamic plastics manufacturing company committed to excellence in production and operations. We
are looking for a proactive and energetic Maintenance Superintendent to join our team, focusing on improving machine reliability, reducing downtime, and implementing effective preventive maintenance strategies.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for leading the maintenance team, managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and driving continuous improvements in machine performance. This role will involve troubleshooting equipment issues, training new employees, and ensuring that
plant equipment is operating efficiently to minimize downtime and enhance overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.
Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure machine reliability.
Constantly review and monitor the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure smooth operations.
Troubleshoot equipment failures, providing timely solutions to reduce equipment downtime.
Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in equipment performance and maintenance practices.
Train, develop, and mentor new maintenance employees, providing them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles.
Manage tooling and equipment effectively, ensuring proper use, maintenance, and storage.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize production disruptions.
Utilize IQMS and Excel to track maintenance activities, analyze performance data, and manage maintenance schedules.
Experiencia y requisitos
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aPLASTICSmanufacturing environment, with hands-on experience with Woojing, Toshiba, and Arburg machines.
Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance tools and practices.
Proficiency in IQMS, Excel, and other maintenance management systems.
Solid knowledge of tooling and equipment management.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Experience in the plastics industry in a manufacturing environments is essential.
