**Purpose and Scope**
This position plans and manages the Maintenance Department to ensure that there is minimum downtime, either through planned preventative maintenance or through the effective utilization of resources in order that unscheduled breakdowns have minimum disruption to operations. The Maintenance Supervisor provides the necessary leadership and direction to mechanical and electrical technicians.
**Responsibilities**
- Directly supervise the maintenance group; Communicate between shifts and departments to resolve prob-lems and sustain consistent performance toward objectives. Understand, comply and consistently administer local and corporate policies; Ensure associates attend training as required; Conduct regular safety and house-keeping audits of work areas and follow-up on all issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective predictive and preventive maintenance strategy for equip-ment and plant wide systems. The program should include a review of all equipment and resource requirements. Evaluate, analyze, and prioritize maintenance demand, implement changes as required, and consistently attain required maintenance schedules. Maintain an awareness of quality standards and leveraged resources to solve quality problems. Develop and maintain KPI's to monitor department.
- Manage the execution of maintenance projects, advising where appropriate project stages and timings. Plan and purchase of certain components such as Hydraulic/Pneumatic equipment, safety requirements, fixtures, and fittings etc. Allocation of both internal and external maintenance resources ensuring that project phases are completed within planned time schedules and to quality and budget guidelines.
- Maintain Department budget within guidelines and meet cost objectives. Reduce waste by identifying and improving value added and eliminating non-value-added tasks. Manage priorities to minimize overtime re-quirements and optimize resources
**Technical/ Functional Skills**
- Maintenance experience related to hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and gas.
- Planning,Coordinating, Organizational skills to minimize equipment downtime and production needs.
- Working knowledge of Mexican safety regulations.
- Competent knowledge of planned maintenance tools; including computation, data evaluation, and presentation skills.
- SAP Maintenance Module Skills
**Education / Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing with 5+ years' experience in related field.
