Responsible forleading activities to reduce injuries, injury costs, control risks, as well as to establish uniformityin the development and administration of all applicable programs and policies at all NASGDivisions. Assists with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety ofoccupational environmental, health, and programs to assure the highest possible degree ofsafety for associates.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSA. Develops and establishes corporate industrial EHS policies, programs, and procedures inaccordance with applicable Federal, Provincial, and State Laws.B. Develops, conducts, and oversees industrial EHS training activities including new hireorientation.1. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training for occupational environmental,health, and safety.2. Direct or assist in the development of specialized education and training materials.3. Conduct specialized safety and environmental training programs to communicate hazardcontrol information.C. Oversees environmental programs including ISO 14001 activities at assigned NASGDivisions.1. Develop, implement, and direct environmental compliance programs related tohazardous wastes, air permitting, water pollution control, and community right-to-knowprograms.2. Oversee and manage NASG's ISO 14001 system including writing procedures, workinstructions, and implementation of the system throughout assigned NASG divisions.3. Compile and retain records for all NASG divisions in relation to chemical and processactivities including, but not limited to, air, water, and chemical emissions and usage.4. Assists, conducts, and coordinates internal and/or external audits for environmentalcompliance and ISO 14001.5. Assist with environmental waste directives to reduce items such as electricity, wastegeneration, and other items deemed to be feasible to NASG.D. Act as a technical and cultural change agent for environmental, health, and safety initiatives.E. Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace.1. Survey to identify and evaluate occupational environmental, health, and safetyconditions.2. Develop, coordinate and implement controls for hazards identified in hazard analysis.3. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, andprocedures with recommended changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminateworkplace accidents.4
