We are looking for a Continuous Process Improvement Manager to be located in our Juárez, Praderas Manufacturing Site
**How You'll Help Us Connect the World**
Provide input into our CPI strategy specific to their areas of responsibilities to help drive perfection across all products & processes and align with the overall company Continuous Improvement Strategy, implementing industry standard methodologies (e.g. Lean Methodologies including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Kaizen, 6 Sigma, etc.). This strategy will incorporate the required elements of corporate, business unit, and site with Customers (internal or external) and organizations such as Operations, Procurement, Supply Base, Quality, Planning, Finance etc.
This person is responsible for 4-5 key areas of CPI relating to the elements for the site(s)/BU they are responsible for:
Education: To educate employees in Lean & 6 Sigma principles. To train and educate Commscope personnel and, where applicable, customer or suppliers to deliver the Lean 6 Sigma tools and methodologies.
Facilitation: To facilitate a program of Operational Perfection and Continuous Process Improvement.
Financial & cost analysis. Interpreting financial reports, costs and measurements as are applicable to Continuous Improvement activities.
Lean Transformation:
Responsible for implementing Commscope Continuous Process Improvement with respect to Lean. Working with peers to identifying improvement opportunities from tools such as Value Stream Mapping, line balancing, 5S, etc. Providing support with training, leadership, and direct support.
Facilitate the creation of Lean and/or Six Sigma Calendars and roadmaps for 6 -18 month periods.
Lead and/or support collaborative cross-functional teams to deliver companywide Lean solutions incorporating best practices.
Lead and/or support corporate improvement projects, establishing benchmarks and standard methodologies and aligning with overall business goals for areas of responsibility.
6 Sigma and/or Lean:
Program including White belts, Orange belts, Green belts, and if necessary, black belts and/or master black belts.
Responsible for implementing Commscope Continuous Process Improvement with respect to 6 Sigma and/or Lean using methodologies such as DMAIC and/or PDCA. Working with peers to identify improvement opportunities from tools such as Statistical Process Control, DOE, and provide support with training, leadership, and direct support.
Lead and/or support collaborative cross-functional teams to deliver companywide 6 Sigma solutions incorporating standard methodologies.
Lead and/or support corporate improvement projects, establishing benchmarks and standard methodologies and aligning with overall business goals for areas of responsibility.
**Education**:
Responsible for training and educating employees as is required to deliver Commscope Continuous Process Improvement.
Support the design of training modules within GLC.
Work with GLC and talent Management to maintain records of all training activities.
Training is generally considered as 10% Class Room, 20% mentoring & 70% on the job training. The 3 phases must be supported to ensure that employees master the skills needed to deliver Continuous Improvement on an ongoing basis.
Facilitation:
Responsible for facilitating the company's CPI activities within the area and scope of responsibility.
Supporting timely management of the areas of Continuous Improvement activities relative to a planned calendar.
Find opportunities and promote change with the Management team.
Translate opportunities into calendar driven Continuous Improvement activities.
Be skilled in understanding how to link efficiency and continuous improvement critical metrics to financial measures & reports.
Oversee and lead budget associated with projects, ensuring adequate return on investment on projects whilst delivering solutions within budget.
Be competent in interpretation of financial reports to link financial reports and costs to benefit estimation, measurement and results.
EH&S:
Demonstrating commitment to the continual improvement of the EHS Management System.
Ensuring employees are trained in their necessary functions in order to implement the ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards.
Ensuring that the roles, responsibilities and authorities are cascaded throughout their specific organization. Also, ensuring that these are understood and accepted as appropriate.
Cooperating with EHS to ensure compliance with EHS standards.
Ensuring necessary resources are available to maintain and improve the EHS Management System.
**Required Qualifications for Consideration**
Bachelors in related Engineering curriculum
3-5 Years of Related Experience to include CPI activities as part of Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, or other related experience within a manufacturing environment.
