**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Position Summary**:
Manage Quality leads of all Acuna Plants to ensure Quality processes are followed at each Acuna location and efforts are focused to meet Quality goals. Driving a Zero-defect mindset with proactive approach to prevent quality spills to customers is required. The involved responsibilities & activities include working & interacting with Quality Leads, customer Quality Engineer and each Acuna plant to actively support common Site and company goals
**Essential Functions**:
Focus Quality leads to achieve Plant Quality Goals (CPPM's, FTF & Scrap)
Ensure Quality Leads and their teams adhere to KPS Quality rituals and provide support to plants as needed.
Ensure to keep Quality standards across the plants.
Drive process audits to detect quality issues and implement actions to prevent quality spills
Actively support Plants to achieve Plant goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Deployment)
Control OT (overtime) and optimize resources utilization to provide support to all production shifts.
Drive sense of urgency to customer complaints by complying with customer expectations on reaction times and completing 8D on time.
Supervise/coordinate CQE's to provide support to plants for customer containments, 8D reports, RMA's, scorecards and all customer related reports.
Promote continuous Quality activities/processes for "Zero Defect" mindset
Promote company values at all Department levels
Drive problem solving culture within department
Promote use of processes to reduce operator dependency (Poka-yokes, electronic data collection, etc.). Coordinate efforts to standardize processes among plants
Ensure quality documents are updated (Control Plans, Quality Alerts, etc.)
Structure and follow up daily quality findings to resolution
Support implementation of actions derive from Quality Initiatives (QI)
Drive processes to reduce/eliminate 200% inspections through the use of Poka-yokes.
Support PSA Activities and procedures with team members.
The employee has the authority to stop the production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.
Knows and communicates the need for product safety.
Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.
**Management & Supervisory Responsibilities**:
Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).
**Knowledge**:
Automotive core tools knowledge (APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP)
General knowledge of ISO/IATF16949
Six Sigma Tool concepts (plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Basic General concepts of SPC
Product Safety
Pneumatic system (plus)
Product safety initiatives (plus)
**Experience**:
Minimum 5 years in Quality at manufacturing
Minimum 5 years in supervisory roles/responsibility
**Skills**:

Strong communication skills both oral and written
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)

**Education/Certifications**:
Degreed - Engineering preferred
