Eaton's EPG LAC PD Power Distribution division is currently seeking a Manager EHS - LATAM.
**What you'll do**:
located in Mexico City, MX or Queretaro, MX.
This position provides environmental, health, safety, and sustainability leadership to the assigned business(es) under the direction of the PCS EHS Group Leader and in conjunction with Latin America (Electrical) LATAM Division leadership. Incumbent is accountable for the following: identifying and managing significant environmental aspects and health and safety hazards; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; managing interfaces with governmental authorities; supporting actions during and following crises; supporting medical case management; ensures that all facilities are in compliance with applicable Federal, Country, State and local laws and fulfillment of all Eaton Corporation Environment, Health, Safety and Security objectives.
The incumbent is responsible for providing technical and tactical support within the assigned division including defining objectives and targets; investigation of incidents and establishment of corrective and preventive action plans; communication of regulatory requirements; identifying and sharing transferrable practices, evaluating, and developing EHS talent, and providing necessary support for site EHS programs.

- Implement environment, safety and health programs (MESH) aligned with Corporate Eaton requirements that foster a Zero incident culture through the establishment of sound policies and goals, a preventative approach, and promotion of environmental and safety stewardship.
- Develops and facilitates divisional/regional forums for knowledge and sharing of best practices across various EHS programs including integration of Corporate, Group, and LATAM Divisional EHS initiatives.
- Creates and deploys a Strategy for achieving the LATAM Division Leadership goals for EHS and Sustainability in alignment with the ES/ESA/PCS Organization. Establishes and shares ownership and accountability to achieve divisional goals and objectives along with timely and accurate reporting mechanisms in support of Corporate/Regional strategic initiatives.
- Facilitates evaluation and implementation of fiscally and socially responsible methods of reducing operational environmental footprint.
- Supports EHS risk assessment initiatives and risk mitigation (including security).
- Establishes and maintains relationships with governmental authorities on matters of mutual concern including voluntary certification (e.g., ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 registration, VPP, Industria Limpia), maintenance of environmental permits, submission of required reports, and maintenance of data.
- Build organization capability by providing EHS mentorship, training and development of EHS professionals to ensure each site within the division has the appropriate technical and functional competencies.
- Supports the investigation process of incidents (including near misses, releases, and losses) and accidents to determine root causes and prepares/directs corrective and preventive action plans. Identify and determine correction action for systemic EHS issues within the region. Includes 5 Why deep dives and use of fishbone process.
- Contribute to the Sector, Region, Group and Division sustainability vision, strategy, systems and business processes. Provide information and direction to leadership on EHS matters that impact our business.
- Supports response actions to emergency situations dealing with the environment, employees, or the community.
- Responsible for providing functional management and oversight support of the LATAM Division site EHS leaders.
- Assures that Corporate EHS requirements and programs are available or translated into local languages as appropriate.
- Knowledge and use of Ergonomic tools, i.e., Humantech and trained in Ergonomics, manual material handling or similar.
- Worked with or exposure to Machine guarding practices, i.e., work with outside service to remediate machine guarding opportunities.
- Involvement with environmental disciplines such as; Wastewater treatment system, Stormwater pollution prevention, plating operations, SPCC plans, recommended.

- Undergraduate degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent technical field. (Advance degree in one applicable area preferred)
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent technical field
