As a legal manager, you will be responsible for processing inquiries from regulatory agencies and other types of consumer-related matters.
You will perform legal administrative tasks and manage the flow of legal documents received to ensure that they reach the appropriate teams.
Among other tasks, you will support the execution of contracts, obtain signatures, manage court appearances, maintain internal databases for litigation matters, and track outside counsel expenses.
Although part of the regulatory compliance team, you will assist, in commercial, government relations, and other areas of Netflix legal, as needed.
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage, negotiate rates, and manage outside counsel (includes reviewing documentation and responses provided by outside counsel )as required for legal proceedings
- Maintain and update internal documentation including case-specific documents, as well as summaries of legal research;
- Serve as a legal resource for internal Customer Service teams;
- Log, research, and respond to issues raised by customers, customers' attorneys, and other public authorities;
- Analyze and accurately respond to a variety of time-sensitive requests from law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable laws and our terms of service, while upholding Netflix's strong commitment to member privacy;
- Summarize/translate legal documents as needed;
- Perform various administrative tasks and backup support for general litigation, regulatory, and corporate as needed.
**Requirements**:
- 5-7+ years of experience in legal operations in a law firm and/or legal in-house team of multinational companies;
- Prior experience with consumer dispute resolution processes, including draft responses to issues raised by customers, customers' attorneys, and other government authorities, such as consumer authorities and law enforcement authorities;
- Superior organizational skills, extraordinary attention to detail, and a mindset that processes can always be improved;
- Solution-driven mindset and the ability to think practically, work independently with little guidance, but also to use good judgment to escalate issues when needed;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English;
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with different teams, customers, attorneys, public authorities, and other parts of the business;
- Project management and other technical skills are strongly preferred;
- Flexibility and willingness to provide administrative support on a broad range of legal matters;
- Flexibility to work across different time zones to connect with international teams
