Join our team.Your role at Clorox:This role will be responsible for leading the lease accounting and reporting activities for the Company's global lease portfolio.
This includes ensuring the processes and controls around the identification of new leases are appropriate, analyzing contracts for the proper lease accounting treatment, overseeing the monthly and quarterly close processes, partnering with GSS and CREWS on process and controls, and providing support and oversight for the assistant manager and senior accountant.In this role, you will:Analyze GSS contracts and ensure completenessComplete lease identification and classification for all supplier contracts with potential leasesCross-functional communication/coordination of lease requirements (i.E.
ensuring GSS or buyers structure, IT Procurement following the global process)Identify and evaluate lease modifications, lease impairments, and other changes for leasesInternal ControlsEnsure internal controls around lease accounting are in place and operating effectivelyPartner with GSS on control remediation as neededPrepare quarterly scorecard reviews and lead meeting/discussions with GSSLead quarterly Balance Sheet analytic meetingLead preparation of quarterly PO certification and communication of I/C exceptions to FRC and leadershipEnsure process and I/C documentation is complete and accurateAccounting and Reporting ProcessesOversee Month/Quarter end close activitiesProvide guidance to Lease Accounting TeamReview account reconciliations, long-term rollforward schedules, and annual footnote disclosureLead resolution of close issuesReview lease assessment conclusions and ensure reflected properly in CoStarOwnership of accounting policiesManage one direct report (a people manager)Provide oversight, guidance, coaching, and developmentWhat we look for:6 years of experience in AccountingAdvanced English level mandatoryStrong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS and financial statementsStrong leadership and project management skillsStrong analytical skills, with ability to prioritizeSuperior attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in teams and with cross-functional partnersPeople management experience (preferred)Workplace type: Hybrid - 3 times in officeWe seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
