The product line alone serves as proof with advances in machine performance, equipment automation, fleet management, and John Deere's ongoing investment in emerging markets.**Main Responsabilities**:Establishes, develops, and manages a logistic network to provide linkage between John Deere's suppliers, manufacturers, parts operations, and marketing channels to support Enterprise and Division Order Fulfillment goals encompassing the total process (to include freight pay) of inbound and outbound movement of raw material, complete goods and after-market parts from source to destination while measuring and establishing operational service processes and criteria. Negotiates rates and services on behalf of John Deere, that provides maximum leverage in cost and service.**What skills you need**:- Works with the enterprise/divisions/units to ensure the logistics network is meeting current and future requirements. Develops and communicates standards and operating procedures (e.G. regarding packaging, returnable containers, shipping, transportation, etc.) to all relevant John Deere units.- Develops and maintains a logistics network to meet the delivery goals and ensures organizational requirements are in alignment with the enterprise/divisions/units strategic plan.- Ensures the selection and contracting of needed logistics partners. Negotiates rates and services on behalf of the company, which provides maximum leverage in cost and service.- Ensures that the enterprise/divisions/units are meeting required logistics related regulatory and customs requirements.- Researches and evaluates possibilities/opportunities to improve the network and staying abreast of new developments in the industry
