**Job Purpose**:This position is based in Queretaro, Mexico. Reporting directly to the Global Director, MPL, this position will be responsible to lead the materials, planning and logistics function across the assigned plants and to support the manufacturing process. Reporting directly to the Global Director, MPL, this position will be responsible to lead the materials, planning and logistics function across the assigned plants and to support the manufacturing process.**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:Inventory Management Leader; support plant layout reviews, capacity planning; production scheduling; lead cost reduction initiatives; lead a team of Global Supply analysts to optimize freight and inventory. Drive inventory reductions; continuous improvement initiatives; train/coach/ materials managers; lead LV demand driven logistics project; support and lead regional MP&L CI workshops; create development/succession/talent management programs; Lead skip level meetings with key contributors. Profile: Bachelor Degree required; MBA preferred and minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a Materials Management and Logistics function; excellent computer skills (MRP, office); understanding of both the Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry preferred; excellent communicationand interpersonal skills and must be capable of professionally interacting with both U.S. and Mexican plants; experience in Assembly,Machining, and Forging Operations preferred, must be detail oriented, proactive in anticipating requirements and able to work efficiently with mínimal direction in a sometimes high pressure environment; experience in presentations for senior management.. Proactive, detail oriented and excellent organization, planning and follow-through skills.; solving problems of broad scope and complexity; flexible hours. Travel 30%.
