Manager, New Stores Permits
**Position Purpose**
Permits Manager. Manage the obtaining of municipal, state or federal permits since construction until operation needed for AZ new stores open acording FY plans, schedule and investment hurdles, as well as all AZ open stores across the country has the proper licences to operate renewing them every year; Ensure that all the licences has been obtain follow the FCPA laws evaluating and communicating any risk of corruption to break de FCPA laws. Implement new process and accion plans to improve permiting times and contribute at store dev process.
**Primary Accountabilities**
- Manages Permit Specialists assuring the goal established for opening stores, HUBs or DCs in each fiscal year. Implement action plans and provides resources to assure compliance and iniciate construction projects and the correct functioning of each project.
- Manages Permits Specialist in order to anlyze and provide the design guidelines required to present viable sites in approval meetings as well as times and regulations, focusing in avoiding risks related to the drop sites.
- Implement a continuous improvement on established process with related areas, such as Renewals, Seguridad Laboral, Operations, Accounts Payables, Compliance, Expeditors log and reports, external consultants.
- Verifies that all licenses from new stores and previously open stores are and will be obtained under FCPA, detect and communicate possible risks to Legal and Internal Audit Departments.
- Improves the process for licenses granting by hiring specialized external consultants which will be supervised and evaluated performance wise. This aiming to create a reliable database for AutoZone in which our standards and compliance requisites are met, particularly related to FCPA act.
- Support and provide all require Licenses and Permits to the Renewal team regarding the functionality, following policy of newly opened stores. As well as coordinating all necessary process to remodel, extend, or relocate a project.
**Education & Experience**
Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Architect, civil engineer, Legal
Years of Experience: Three to five years.
Type of Experience: Experience in permitting process and construction laws.
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office and Intuit software.
Other / Preferred: Proactive, negotiation skills, travel.
