The Work Environment Team support our company's multiple brands, and serve as a centralized HR resource to associates, managers and leadership for the purpose of mitigating risks, promoting compliance and championing company culture. This is achieved by providing consistent and accurate HR advice, consultation, education, guidance and by conducting thorough, efficient and timely investigations. The Manager of Associate Relations works toward issue resolution in accordance with current company policy, process and practice.The Manager of Associate Relations works closely with Human Resources Professionals, General Managers, Area Directors, Human Resources (ADHR) and Area Directors of Marriott Select Brands, to support department, function and/or Area objectives.Generally, works with considerable independence, prioritizing work to support the CALA HR strategy and minimize risk of employment liability to the business.**EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS****Business/Functional Results**- Completes associate relations responsibilities for the CALA area supporting multiple brands.- Is point of escalation on matters of Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door, Business Integrity Line or Employee Relations Line cases, correspondences, and inquiries through social media, etc.- Consults with hotel operators and Human Resources professionals on matters of associate relations, general HR issues, and/or grievance, disciplinary issues and procedures.- Assists, as needed, with the development of performance improvement plans.- Completes and/or reviews investigation closure notes for accuracy and thoroughly adheres to all approval requirements for Business Integrity Line cases.- Completes and/or reviews investigation closure notes for accuracy and thoroughly adheres to all approval requirements for Employee Relations Line.- Responds to, solves and makes decisions on associate relations issues that carry moderate to high risk.**Strategic Leadership**- Presents alternative solutions to issues by leveraging the broader HR organization.- Contributes and participates in creating a consolidated ADHR market summary report by analyzing data, identifying trends and other key information.**Managing Execution / Building Relationships**- Recognize problems or issues and follow-up with correct business partners with suggestions for improvement or change.- Creates and maintains proper documentation on all cases including logging in a timely, accurate and thorough manner, adhering to all Case Management (CM) business rules
