We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineering to join our team and lead the design of autonomous robotic surface and submersible dredging equipment.
The Manager of Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineering will oversee a team of electrical engineers, embedded system engineers, and embedded software engineers. This role is crucial in leading the development of advanced electrical systems, embedded solutions, and industrial robotics for autonomous dredging equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of electrical and embedded systems engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
**Project Management**:
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of autonomous robotic surface and submersible dredging equipment.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
**Technical Oversight**:
- Provide technical guidance and support in the areas of electrical engineering, embedded systems, embedded software, and industrial robotics.
- Review and approve electrical schematics, system designs, and software code.
**Innovation and Development**:
- Drive innovation in autonomous dredging technology, focusing on the integration of advanced robotics and control systems.
- Lead R&D initiatives to explore new technologies and improve existing systems.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure the reliability and performance of all systems.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards and best practices.
**Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other departments, including mechanical engineering, production, and quality control, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Liaise with external partners, suppliers, and customers to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical and embedded systems engineering.
Proven experience in managing and leading engineering teams.
- Experience in designing and developing autonomous robotic systems is highly desirable.
**Technical Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, embedded systems, embedded software, and industrial robotics.
- Proficiency in designing electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and actuators.
**Leadership Skills**:
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
**Communication Skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
