**Manager of Engineering/ Office Manager**
**Equinox Engineering - Professional Opportunity in Mexico City**
- Position: Manager of Engineering & Office Manager_
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Leading and supporting the growth of a multidisciplinary Engineering team ensuring quality and best practices for project delivery in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Mexico office, fostering a professional and dynamic environment for the delivery of high-quality engineering services.
- Ensure that Office practices align with the policies and procedures of the organization.
- Collaborate to define and achieve project deliverables on schedule and within or below budget.
- Establish Equinox as the preferred supplier and employer in targeted market sectors.
- Represent the best interests of Equinox in all internal and external relationships.
- Maintain consistent standards for all department staff in their internal and external relationships.
- Collaborate and Consult with the President, CEO and Canadian Operation Liaison.
**Department Specific Responsibilities**:
- Support the sustainable growth of the Engineering team in the Mexico office, attracting and retaining the best talent in the market.
- Manage inter-company and client liaison activities to support the delivery of Engineering Services.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor corporate procedures and standards.
- Measure the effectiveness of departmental procedures and standards.
- Prepare and review confidential agreements, client dispute resolutions, third-party contracts, and engineering service contracts, as required.
- Engage in short and long-term planning, including strategy planning and development.
- Determine manpower loading, work forecasts, and staffing requirements.
- Resolve conflicts and mediate staff issues.
- Conduct employee probationary and performance reviews.
- Review and recommend employee salary adjustments and employment contracts.
- Oversee employee training initiatives.
- Manage office space allocation and office system requirements.
- Direct work and approve timesheets of the Discipline Managers.
- Participate in Project Management and Departmental Meetings.
- Provide input into developing project and engineering procedures.
- Provide input into the development of marketing promotional tools, brochures, newsletters, handouts, and websites as required.
- Conduct bi-weekly department manager meetings.
**Key Skills**:
- Broad exposure to oil and gas engineering and design.
- Experience in managing multi-discipline teams.
- Ability to resolve interdisciplinary issues and concerns within a team environment.
- Developed local knowledge of business economics and trends in the industry.
- Proven experience in establishing, developing, and maintaining strong client relationships and project planning and execution in oil and gas facilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
**Education and Qualifications**:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree.
- Masters Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 12+ years of oil and gas experience with an EPCM background.
- Must be proficient in English (TOEFL score >90 or equivalent).
- Must be Permanent Resident of Mexico City
