Overview: Role of the Operations Manager Management of the VPC processes to obtain the profitability results established for the VPC. Ensure compliance with the operational processes based on the requirements of the Management to obtain the profitability of the operation. To ensure that the safety, quality, and efficiency standards required by the client are met.
Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL DO Perform and assure assertive communication with the client. Comply with client requirements including all legal and operational areas.Report to WW leadership team VPC status and results.Develop long and short-term strategies in support of VPC objectives.Support RRHH department in union negotiation and requirements.Ensure that coordinating and planning activities support VPC objectives.Communicate VPC objectives, strategies, and activities to VPC staff.Ensure that adequate training and tools are provided to VPC staff.Establish routine management targets for the VPC.Identify and implement cost reduction activities.Implement, manage and support lean waste objectives and projects.Evaluate and establish operating procedures.Ensure that established operating procedures are followed for all production operations functions and processes.Ensure that VPC efficiency standards are met and/or exceeded while maintaining WW standards of quality.Ensure that workplace safety standards are met, including the proper storage and handling of hazardous waste materials.Execute total quality management principles including Policy Management, Shop Floor Management, and Routine Management processes.Work cohesively with all members of VPC management.Ensure VPC compliance with all WW policies and procedures.Advocate the Company Leadership Competencies.Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure compliance with company confidentiality policies and applicable laws.Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors, business associates, and employees.Ensure supervisory staff is cross-trained in multiple VPC functions and embraces a team-oriented approach to problem solving.Perform other related duties as required.Develop, motivate, and train all levels of employees for their professional development and future growth of the company.Work long hours, weekends, and holidays.Proficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software applications.Drive manual and automatic transmissions.Collaborate in problem solving. Qualifications A good fit for this position has 5-7 years in planning and directing operations, and experience in:
Inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels.Understanding revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results.Leading continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost-efficient work environment that meets performance targets.Familiarity with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.Must possess a valid driver's license & be able to drive manual and automatic transmissions.Advanced English proficiency.
