**How will you make an impact?
**The Procurement Manager leads and coordinates activities of personnel related to the timely, cost-effective Sourcing & Procurement of raw materials & finished goods to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced team environment.
Establishes best practice procurement processes and delivers year-over-year cost savings.
Works on problems of diverse scope including analysis of data.
**What you will do**:- Lead all aspects of Sourcing and Procurement as necessary to maintain a reliable and cost competitive source of supply for two LPE Mexico sites.- Lead and/or support the negotiation with suppliers.- Identify and also lead cross functional cost saving projects.- Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.- Recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price with timely delivery while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.- Hiring, training, and leading the procurement department employees.- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce inventory costs, streamline processes, and implement solutions.
(Utilizing Kanban, consigned and vendor-managed inventory where applicable.
)- Deploy, manage and report all related supply chain KPI's monthly:- Coordinate with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs.- Ensure suppler performance to lead times and optimization of safety stock for customer service levels and inventory.- Minimize/eliminate any past due customer orders through implementation of an effective and efficient supply chain of incoming raw materials and finished goods.- Meet annual site Sourcing savings targets, working closely with the Global Sourcing Team and Product Management.- Participate, review, and provide recommendations and oversight in forecasting, production planning, and logistics planning activities.- Contribute to monthly SIOP (Sales Inventory & Operations Planning) process as required.
**How you will get here**:**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements**- Bachelor's degree with studies in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field- 5+ years of Procurement experience- 3+ years of Sourcing experience**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**- Strong ability to coach, mentor and lead people to effectively work as a Team
