We are looking for a Manager, Product Research to join Snap Inc!
What you'll do: Identify unique user needs and behaviors that drive the team to create innovative products. Proactively identify research needs and partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Growth teams to define multiple research roadmaps and strategies based on product, business, and user needs. Manage Senior Researchers capable of executing major projects at an organizational and company level. Lead and influence cross-functional teams without oversight. Manage and grow teammates at various levels of experience. Analyze qualitative and quantitative findings and articulate actionable product and design insights to partners. Be a strong advocate for the user – evangelize user-centered design practices and the importance of usability within the development groups, our company, and other cross-functional organizations. Be a part of a fast-paced and impactful team, supporting broader research initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Advanced understanding of UX Research methods with the ability to articulate study design to stakeholders. Excellent presentation skills and comfort communicating at executive level. Ability to deliver on multiple projects with competing deadlines. Ability to think outside the box and bring new ideas and thinking to the UX Research space. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, or related field or equivalent years of experience. 8+ years of experience conducting UX Research for product and design teams. 2+ years of experience leading or managing UX Research teams. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Human Factors, HCI, cognitive psychology, or related area. Experience leading international research. Experience leading growth research. Experience designing both qualitative and quantitative research studies, analyzing results, and creating reports with impactful product and design insights. A great product understanding of Snapchat. Compensation: In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $184,000-$276,000 annually.
Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $175,000-$262,000 annually.
Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $156,000-$235,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
