.CHILDFUND JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Project ManagerLocation: MéxicoDivision/Department: Protected PassageReports to: Program Manager, Country OfficeGrade: 8DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESProject Planning and ImplementationAssure that detailed planning is carried out and adjusted in a timely and effective manner based on project requirements.Accountable for ChildFund's project on time and quality implementation.Travels to influence areas to support project office operations and activities.Monitoring & EvaluationEnsures close project performance monitor (financial, Human Resources, programmatic, operational) and makes necessary decisions using appropriate means and methods that support continuous improvement.Continuously assess security and safety issues related to the project implementation.Assures the M&E Manager has access to needed information on a timely basis and in accordance with set standards and requirements.Supports all Evaluation activities of the project.Project QualityEnsures technical quality of the project.Ensures effective delivery of project interventions.Ensures that ChildFund's program principles are evident in the project (child rights, evidence-based actions, youth agency, root cause analysis, sustainability using community-based approach, and partnerships), as well as the cross-cutting standards (gender, child protection, inclusion, Disaster Risk Reduction).Talent ManagementResponsible for directly or indirectly supervising all project staff.Ensures effective coordination with country office staff.Ensures and coordinates a Project quality governance.Communicates continuously with the Country and/or the International office staff to describe program progress and proposes alternatives/solutions in case of poor performance or any obstacle in the implementation of the project.Reports and DocumentationResponsible for coordinating, organizing, and formulating required reports in accordance with project and donor requirements.Responds to audit findings leading to improved project performance.Relations and InfluencingMaintains collaborative relationships with different internal and external stakeholders as well as regional migration bodies.Cultivates relationships with other stakeholders of the project, assuring credibility and visibility.Proactively supports advocacy efforts of the project with local, national, and regional authorities and the public.Manages partner relationships.Resource MobilizationResponsible for actively looking for additional funds for the project.Any other requirement related to her/his position as a project manager.QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCEA minimum of five years of experience as a manager directly implementing large complex projects.Experience in grants administration/management of projects funded by foreign government aid agencies, and/or multilateral institutions.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with staff at multiple levels
