**Position Summary**:
The Rainforest Alliance has recently embarked on a new phase of a regenerative agriculture project with a key strategic partner in the coffee sector. This project aims to accelerate our partners' transition towards regeneration and support producers within their coffee supply chain around the world through the implementation of tools such as the RA Coffee Regenerative Agriculture Scorecard.
To drive this project forward, we are seeking a passionate, hands-on and results-oriented Quality of Implementation Manager for Regenerative Agriculture within the scope of coffee corporate partner global projects. Reporting to the Country Director Brazil/Mexico and under the technical guidance of the Quality of Implementation team this individual will play a pivotal role in elevating our regenerative agriculture framework globally, drawing insights to identify areas of improvement and guiding the implementation of regenerative solutions in the field to achieve the project targets.
The Manager will work in alignment with regenerative agriculture experts in the Forest & Agriculture unit and the project team, as well as collaborate closely with individuals and country teams globally in the delivery of the project implementation. The individual will liaise closely with the corporate partner to ensure alignment, dissemination of results and provide thematic and regional expertise to guide the regenerative transition in coffee supply chains.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the creation and roll out of verification and evaluation frameworks on regenerative agriculture transition, ensuring alignment with a selected strategic coffee corporate partner project goals and objectives
- Contribute to technical protocols and guides on regenerative agriculture, with support from Rainforest Alliance technical experts
- Design and conduct benchmark and evaluation framework of sustainability programs and standards, in line with RA's standards framework and the Regenerative Agriculture strategy
- Analyse field data related to regenerative agriculture performance in the countries of implementation of the assigned project (at least 18 coffee countries across Asia, Latin America and Africa)
- Provide training on technical content and evaluation methods
- Ensure data quality control and advise on data collection methods
- Provide technical input and insights to teams that generate results-based claims
- Offer IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and agronomic expertise to support partnership objectives
- Support the administration of field assessments conducted by various field partners
- Collaborate with Rainforest Alliance project and regional teams, and other internal departments as required, to synthesize and report out project activities
- Communicate project activities and results to company partner and internal stakeholders
- Provide guidance to market partners on incentives and techniques to improve sustainability performance from their sourcing regions
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- First degree in agronomy and a master's degree in agroecology or related field is highly preferred;
- Advanced knowledge of coffee agronomy, climate smart agriculture, and regenerative agriculture / agroecology;
- At least 5 years of post-degree hands-on field experience and progressively responsible work experience in conducting monitoring and evaluation of agricultural supply chains, overseeing data collection, synthesizing and analysing data;
- Knowledge of certification and verification sustainability standards;
- Strong excel and analytical skills; results oriented; attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and with multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams, multi-task and work under tight deadlines;
- Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese (if based in Brazil) is required.
