About the role


The Regional Manager of Security role is responsible for developing and leading integral strategies related to Security to define and ensure the implementation of the most appropriate systems in line with Global and Regional Security of Kerry requirements. This role ensures the development of new systems and integration of existing systems with designs, maintenance, updates, enhancements, and remodeling focused on reducing impact and risks. The Regional Manager provides advice to the business and functional leaders in his/her region. As a trusted security business partner, they support regional business leaders in security matters in conjunction with the Group General Counsel and Global Legal COEs, to proactively protect Kerry, Kerry's reputation, and manage potential risks and liabilities.

Key responsibilities

1. Design the Corporate Security and Protection Program based on Kerry fundamentals to provide support to the operations in LAtAm.
2. Accomplish the Personal On-Board program to protect people through specific strategies focusing on self-prevention, public risk management, and Security Culture involving the entire organization.
3. Provide support, training,
and guidelines to identify the best ways to solve Crisis Situations and Special Situations that the business could encounter during operations through Protocols, Crisis Committee, and Crisis Exercises.
4. Send the reports requested by the operation according to the schedule, priority, and impact.
5. Design and implement the Security program for travelers, expats, and business travel to avoid incidents and reduce impact by using early warnings, opening communication channels, and updating information according to real country risk while working with Corporate Security to implement the right security countermeasures.
6. Implement Security Policies to provide support during Professional Events to identify risks and mitigate impacts using security countermeasures and recommendations, performing inspections, identifying support points,
and delivering security reports with the host to implement security recommendations to avoid any incidents.
7. Perform Risk Analysis to determine the real risk level of Kerry facilities and implement security countermeasures associated with Detection, Retard, Deter, Deny, Response, and Recovery, seeking the best option with optimal cost.
8. Create with IT Security the Information Security program to reduce incidents associated with PC, copies, document administration, Clean Desk, classification, and appropriate destruction methods.

Main Challenges

1. Management of an effective response channel to provide support when people, processes, operations, or products could be affected by incidents, ensuring safety and reducing loss and impact.
2.
Be a strategic ally within the company to participate in all decisions made by the staff (to become a Security Business Partner for Local, Regional, and Global Security).
3. Spread a Security Culture in the organization through active and permanent participation of employees, suppliers, and contractors.

Qualifications and skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Security Administration or related field.
2. At least 7 years of experience in the private security sector as a corporate security manager with a focus on People, Facilities, Crisis management, Special Situation management, Supply chain security, and Distribution based on Risk Assessments and Strategic Security.
3. Certified Protection Professional (CPP Certification by ASIS).
4. Experience in Security Crisis Management.
5. Experience in Security Investigations (Internal & External).
6.
Experience in Security Risk Management.
7. Experience in Special Situation Management.
8. Experience in Security for Mass Events.
9. Experience in Strategic Security.
10. Experience in Supply chain security.
