Position Summary The Sales Manager has the responsibility to organize our sales team to deliver order results for pumps, parts and service assigned in the annual budget by the company for Mexico. To assign the objectives and tasks to our sales team according with their competences to achieve our goals. To report results and forecast as well as the market conditions to the STL monthly as well as customer satisfaction or concerns.
Essential Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To organize our sales team according to the competences of each individual to deliver our best result as a team each time is needed
• To assign clear objectives and actions to our engineers to achieve our goals anually
• To evaluate results of individual performance according to our objectives and give guidance for better results at the beginning and midyear
• To report results and forecast to our STL monthly
• To report strategic projects, market intelligence, customer experience to our STL monthly
• To review with our engineers the selling opportunities in the market permanently ahead of time with the IRR tool
• To provide technical and commercial guidance to our engineers for every proposal
• To review our proposals technically and commercially prior to send to our customers and distributors.
• To track and follow up customers together with our salesman to know the status of each proposal to successfully conclude in purchase orders.
• To visit customers together with our salesman every week to answer technical and commercial questions or clarifications to our proposals.
• To require from operations at higher level technical support, lead-times and competitive multipliers for strategic projects to deliver competitive proposals to win
• To attend to the kick off meetings with customer and operations for every new order on projects
• To review and approve new purchase orders for order entry
• Actively participate in conferences, lectures and trainings performed by the company
• To participate with our sales engineers in the product presentations for our customers
• To organize our sales meetings biweekly providing specific information of active proposals
• To participate with our salesman in the monthly sales conferences with our Distributors
• To participate in the Vertical and Horizontal API projects meetings with USA monthly
• To review the reports of the e-quote log and make sure all proposals be updated biweekly
• To support our team in warranty claims according to our internal policy
• To provide support to our credit department for collecting issues with our customers
• To evaluate and approve competences of candidates to be hired by the company for our sales department when needed.
• To oordinate the trips of our engineers for client visits as required
• To keep track of expenses in our sales department and report monthly savings
• To comply with official regulations and company requirements for HSE program.
• To perform such other functions assigned by the immediate supervisor, not covered in this job description.
Position Requirements EDUCATION:
Engineer with bachelor in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial or related careers
EXPERIENCE: 3 years
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: To know about the different markets, the product portfolio, different applications, customer requirements, about the competition, Hydraulics, Materials, Seal Systems, Electric Motors, M&C, Aftermarket
• Minimum experience in similar positions of three (3) years.
• English written and spoken 90%
• Technical knowledge related to centrifugal and twin screw pump applications, for all markets
• Product knowledge and programs to handle the proposals
• Market knowledge, customer relationship, key contacts development
• Human relationship to deal with employees and customers
