Job Description Summary The Manager of Global Sales Operations serves as the primary manager and administrator for sales data generation and tracking, sales pipeline management, and Commercial budget management. The role aims to ensure that the sales management/operating function is efficiently managed and sales information is precisely and uniformly reported to the ICON C-suite, ILT, and CLT.
This role is responsible for managing the weekly and monthly sales reporting needs across the organization and may also assist as needed with the maintenance of the ICON Business Development Incentive Compensation Plan.
Responsibilities:
Manage the creation and continued enhancing of service area forecasts for Commercial and Operational leadership.
Manage the completion of the weekly and quarterly sales performance by Service Area.
Manage Commercial current quarter and YTD results against applicable targets.
Assist with the quarterly close process, which includes the board presentation and investor call materials.
Assist as needed with the management of the ICON Business Development Incentive Compensation Plan calculations.

Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.
What you will need: Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree, or local equivalent, in related field or equivalent experience
Relevant experience in a finance setting with progressive increases in responsibility and leadership
Solid understanding of accounting principles combined with a business focus
Pharmaceutical/biotech experience is preferred
Ideally a fluent understanding of key aspects of clinical research, including program design, program management, metrics, and pricing
Ability to interact with senior executives; capability to think strategically, solve problems, understand needs and develop solutions and presentations to resolve them
Knowledge/Skills: The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large data sets and transforming data into information
Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel with ability to manipulate and draw meaningful analysis and actions from data
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to inspire confidence, PowerPoint an advantage
Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization
Must have the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment; can work through ambiguity and create alignment across multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to navigate uncertainty and apply structured thinking and decision-making frameworks to complex business questions
Commercially astute individual with a proven ability to understand and solve problems
Demonstrates strong willingness to collaborate and ability to be a strategic thought partner
Very strong focus on accuracy and quality of information provided; attention to detail
Ability to frame critical business questions, identify information needs to answer those questions, and determine where to best search for information sources
Fluency in English as well as excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage projects/ deliverables on time
A confident, decisive person with strong interpersonal skills
Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement initiatives
Adaptive and flexible individual with experience working in a fast paced services environment
Ability to switch between micro and macro view
