The Sales Manager is responsible for managing the relationship with current customers and generating new leads through prospecting potential customers within risk acceptance criteria to meet origination, revenue, and service goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Generate new business and share of wallet opportunities with customers and prospects. Identify needs and develop proposals with Element's value-added services. Coordinate the end-to-end sales process for new customer onboarding (including risk underwriting, customer visits, contract negotiation, and implementation).Accountable for overall relationship management of assigned clients. Serve as the primary point of contact. Coordinate internal resources to meet day-to-day or new requirements. Meet clients to maintain and grow business relationships. Oversee line renewals and legal changes.Introduce new products and services to existing clients to enhance profitability. Present new products to prospects and clients once rolled out.Responsible for the development, planning, and execution of a strategic account plan, including coordinating with strategic consulting projects and business reviews.Identify and articulate best practices within the industry. Demonstrate analytical ability, critical reasoning, and strategic thinking to generate loyalty with customers.Education and Experience 5+ years of relevant business experience preferred.Post-secondary education preferred (BA/BS). MBA is a plus.Proficient in English (both written and oral).Experience within the vehicle management or related financial/asset-based industry preferred, with a focus on the trucking industry.Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time depending on client portfolio and sales events.Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.Strong communication skills (oral and written), influencing, and relationship-building skills.World-class negotiation skills with a proven track record of success.Strong customer focus with superior levels of customer satisfaction.Ability to negotiate with C-level executives.Knowledge and Competencies A solid understanding of leasing, rates, terms, financing alternatives, billing, vehicle expense reporting, and service cards, with the proven ability to service and sell to all levels within a client's organization.Must be a result-focused self-starter with a high energy level and the ability to initiate and drive activities independently and reliably.Ability to manage volume and service opportunities and effectively close transactions.Willingness to work with a high degree of urgency and accept responsibility and accountability for account retention and growth.Continue to build and strengthen relationships, focusing on mapping out key decision-makers and devising plans to gain access to them.Proven ability to navigate complex business situations.What's in it for You
